Structured training for the next generation of translational researchers
The ITI postdoctoral program will train, support and create a network of outstanding postdoctoral researchers, the next generation of scientific leaders. ITI postdoctoral fellows will participate in structured career development in addition to their research. They will have a primary “home” in one of our hub-affiliated laboratories, but will connect with mentors and fellow trainees across ITI through formal coursework, seminars tailored to their career interests, social gatherings and networking events. Each postdoc will benefit from a two-person mentorship team comprised of their Scientific mentor (postdoc mentor) and a Collaborating mentor based either in biotech or in academia. Fellows will participate in communications and mentorship training as well as have access to training in topics specific to their career tracks, such as grant-writing or “Understanding Toxicity”. Funding for ITI postdoctoral fellows is available through the ITI Postdoctoral Fellowship.
