ITI Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Washington - Dept. of Immunology
Dr. Jaime Chao obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where her graduate research in Dr. Peter Savage’s lab focused on understanding the biology of tumor-associated regulatory T cells. Jaime will use the fellowship to determine how vaccine design can alter the biodistribution of antigens and inflammatory agonists to enhance protective immunity. She is “excited to be a part of the inaugural class of ITI fellows and looking forward to collaborating across the synergistic research hubs within Seattle.” Dr. Chao will be mentored by Michael Gerner in UW Medicine Immunology and Neil King of UW Medicine Biochemistry and the Institute for Protein Design.
