Dr. LeAnn Nguyen earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied innate immune recognition of viral RNA in the lab of Dr. Melody Li. For her postdoc, Dr. Nguyen is investigating how genetic variants associated with immune diseases and traits impact gene expression and function in immune cells. As an ITI fellow, Dr. Nguyen is excited to learn more about how to translate her findings into targeted disease therapies. Dr. Nguyen is mentored by Dr. John Ray at the Benaroya Research Institute and Dr. Ryan Tewhey at the Jackson Laboratories.
