Director Operations

Dr. Ireton works closely with Dr. Pepper and Dr. Stanbery to ensure that the Institute for Translational Immunology operates seamlessly. She served for 8 years as the Assistant Director of Research in the Center for Innate Immunity and Immune Disease (CIIID). Her past experience has included work as a project manager for Dr. Gale to manage several large cross-interdisciplinary, cross-institutional NIH government contracts and grants to design novel adjuvants for vaccines and antiviral therapeutics that target the RIG-I innate immune pathway. Her work has included expertise in the submission of large collaborative center grants. Dr. Ireton received her Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in the field of Cancer Biology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Research Center in cancer proteomic biomarkers.
